On the way home from Italy-England tomorrow, I'm going to Riyadh for three nights. Didn't realise it was Ramadan when we booked but that should make it more interesting if anything. Planning on having lunch in the hotel room or the car.

Well, at least it’s early enough in the year that Benny should be able to get some food down him before evening kick offs.

Ive "done" Ramadan in 4 Muslim countries (Oooh! Look at her!!!) and never had an issue; at work they would simply "hide" the canteen from general view, generally with fairly lightweight curtains - as they also seemed to do in the shopping malls. Then anybody who wanted to eat during the day could do so out of sight - but not out of the cash flow.
In Indonesia, we even managed to keep quaffing the beer - not a bottle or glass in sight; it was all served in coffee mugs. The police knew what was happening (probably on a kick-back) as they'd often "pop their heads around the door" and hoped we were enjoying our coffee.

Religion is weird.
I bet whoever they worship is up there pissing his pants over the strange stuff people do for him.
